The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, was killed this morning (yesterday now there) in Australia while filming a documentary about the Great Barrier Reef. He was stung in the heart by a stingray. I have enjoyed watching his antics for a while now and loved the way he dealt with the animals. It was obvious he had a great respect for every animal and cared very deeply for them. He was a proponet of conservation and for education regarding animals.
I will miss seeing his smiling face and hearing him talk to the crocs just like they were his friends.....and they were.
Farewell mate. You will be missed.
