A Totally Random Thursday Thirteen 1. Clinton...Obama....Obama...Clinton...ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! I am SO tired of listening to them flap their jaws.
2. Son, DIL and precious Zoe joined us for dinner last night. I didn't cook....it was Mexican takeout but, hey, it was dinner!
3. Jason Castro has been eliminated from "Idol". It was time. He just didn't seem to be too bummed about it though!
4. Hubby has been battling "Celluitis" but is much better. Massive doses of antibiotic is working. Celluitis is an infection of the cells in the skin. His has it on both his legs. It is painful and can be very serious but, thankfully, we started treatment early and the medication is working.
5. Having a new recliner has been a big help to my hubby. Keeping his legs elevated has been key in helping his legs get better. My birthday present was perfect!!!
6. Yours truly took a flying leap from a golf cart on Sunday and ended up face down on my MIL's carport!!! Our golf cart sits higher than normal (a recent occurrence....DIL's brother 'pimped' it for us). I drove over to my MIL's and stepped out, thinking it was as low as it once was, and ended up flat on my face.....PAINFUL!!!! Big bruise on left knee and every. joint. in. my. body. ached!!!!
7. I finished reading "Lean Mean Thirteen" by Janet Evanovich and, as always, it was great. If you have not read this wonderful series you really should. It is so well done and the characters will make you laugh and you will look forward to visiting with them again.
8. Robin Roberts, on Good Morning America, looks SO good without her wig!! I think it was pretty brave of her to decide to go 'topless'!!!
9. I have started a new book series by Debbie Macomber. I think I am going to like it. The first book is entitled, "16 Lighthouse Road".
10. Rain and thunderstorms are in store for us today! Hopefully not severe.
11. Pet Peeve: It really grates on my nerves when I hear someone talk who 's last syllable in every sentence goes up. You know what I mean: i.e. I tried a new RESTAURANT. The food was really GOOD and the service was TOO (elevate voice on highlighted words). It is very annoying and makes the person sound childish.
12. It's time for my second cup of coffee.....maybe I'll be awake then!!!
13. I'm too sleepy to think of a #13. So I am going to stop for now. So there is no #13 in my list, as you can see....just 12. Sorry to cut it short. I'll do better next week.
